Gasper Marguc explodes for 12 as Veszprem win in Ljubuski

12 golova Gašpera Marguča za pobjedu Veszprema u Ljubuškom

Izvidjac CO - Telekom Veszprem

Izvidjac did not make it against Telekom Veszprem. After 15:15 on half-time and even 22:20 lead with a bit more than 15 minutes until the final whistle they did not make it with Veszprem knowing how to use their lack of both focus and strength later into the encounter to grab 25:31 win. Team from Ljubuski once again managed to deliver a better performance than they are actually capable of keeping favored Veszprem close all the way until 10 minutes before the end. Ante and Josip Grbavac were, along with Josip Sarac, Izvidjac’ best scorers with 4 goals each and on the other side Gasper Marguc exploded for 12, Andreas Nilsson added 6. First part of the season is over for Izvidjac and Veszprem will on the last round, on Tuesday, host PPD Zagreb.

Javier Sabate, Telekom Veszprem coach:
I’d like to use this opportunity to congratulate Mirsad Terzic on winning the best sportman of Bosnia and Herzegovina award for 2016. Izvidjac have once again managed to play a good game. We are really tired after all these trips lately and it was not easy. Izvidjac are a good team and I wish them all the best.

Mirsad Terzic, Telekom Veszprem player:
It’s always nice to come here. Match was tough but that’s what we expected. Izvidjac have a young, strong team and are able to keep the tempo high. We’re tired, our schedule was rough lately. I’d like to congratulate hosts on fight they did put in today but our experience was the key. They lack experience. It is visible but it will come with matches.

Zdenko Grbavac, Izvidjac CO coach:
If matches lasted 45 minutes in this League we would have won much more points this season. We’re inexperienced but losses are helping us grow older faster. We only need time and patience. Now it’s time to relax and prepare for second part of the season.

Mislav Grgic, Izvidjac CO player:
It’s a big honor to play against Veszprem and some of the best players in Europe. We’ve played well for 45 minutes after which we did not manage to keep up with guests and there is nothing left to do but congratulate Veszprem.
