Start of a new SEHA chapter for Izvidjac against Meshkov

Новая SEHA-глава для боснийского «Извиджача» откроется матчем против БГК им. Мешкова

Meshkov Brest

After a three-year long break Bosnian Izvidjac Central Osiguranja is again member of SEHA Gazprom League. They will play their first duel of the season on Wednesday in Brest against Meshkov (19.00 local time).

Quality difference between two clubs is big in favor of hosts - Meshkov Brest. They are among F4 contenders and one of the teams which is aiming for the title. By that they are also in good form at the beginning of the season which they have proved with a 34:34 draw against Vardar away from home.

Izvidjac knows what it feels like to play in SEHA League. They have been a part of the League in its first two seasons. With 40 matches in the League they have seven wins and one draw. Winning the title in Bosnia and Herzegovina has given the city of Ljubuski a chance to host some of the biggest clubs in Europe and for that occasion they have decided to reinforce a bit, as much they can considering finances, signing left winger David Mandic and back Matej Hrstic. They are among youngest and unexperienced teams in the League.

Teams have short history of mutual encounters. Back in season 2012/13 they met twice with Meshkov securing two victories (31:27 and 34:28).

Sergey Bebeshko, Meshkov` coach:

This game will be our first official home game in SEHA Gazprom League this season. We don't know much about Izvidjac. Bosnian champion has many young and ambitious players so we have to prepare very seriously. Almost all players are ready to play except Stojkovic who has caught cold. But he may also join the team on Wednesday.

Zdenko Grbavac, Izvidjac CO`s coach:
Our team is ready for the start of SEHA Gazprom League. All players are looking forward to their first game in the new season and we expect to provide a decent resistance to Meshkov. We have a lot of information about our opponent which certainly is a quality team but our young players are ready and we feel we have our chances in this match.

Maxim Babichev, Meshkov` player:

We must win in Brest. We don't underestimate Bosnian champions. There are many good teams and we do not expect an easy game.

Matej Hrstic, Izvidjac CO`s player :
We are well prepared and I expect we won't diappoint our fans. As for the match against Meshkov I can promise we'll give our best to achieve a good result although it won't be easy. We are aware that Meshkov has a lot of experience playing in SEHA Gazprom League.
