MVM Veszprem in Prešov looking to remain undefeated in the regular part of the season

MVM Veszprém v Prešove, ktorí chcú zostať neporazený v pravidelnom časti sezóny

Tatran Prešov - Veszprem

Tatran and Veszprem will on Saturday play their final clashes of this season' SEHA Gazprom League' regular season. Hungarian champion as No.1 and Tatran on fifth place. Match in Tatran Arena will be kind of preparation for MVM Veszprem and their CL' eighth-final encounter versus Motor and Tatran will use it to prepare better for domestic challenges. Veszprem have so far managed to remain undefeated this season and they will surely look to extend that streak in Slovakia where Tatran surely will not lack motivation to bring down the best. So far it was mission impossible for Tatran but...

Rastislav Trtik, Tatran´ coach:

In the end of SEHA League’ regular season we will host one of the best teams in the world with highest ambitions in both SEHA Gazprom League and Champions League. Their roster is full of amazing players who will surely attract fans to Tatran Handball Arena on Saturday. We’ll try to perform at our maximum level, stick to our tactics and be a quality rival. I believe it will be an entertaining, modern handball match for all spectators.

Jakub Hrstka, Tatran´ left winger:

Veszprem are among top world clubs. We have to try to play in a way for spectators to like the game. It is the last match we’ll play before our fans in SEHA League this season. We have nothing to lose in the game against Veszprem. We have to prepare thoroughly and concentrate on the game against outstanding rivals who are minimally doubled on each position. Veszprem also have a demanding week ahead of them with important CL’ match behind them and 3 SEHA matches ahead of them. We have to focus on our own performance, improve defense, try to eliminate their backs and score easy goals on fast breaks. We want to play fast and nice handball that will be attractive for spectators in Tatran Handball Arena.

Xavi Sabaté, MVM Veszprem’ coach:

Team from Prešov always performs very well at home. Some of their players have left the club recently and new younger players have taken their position but it is sure they’ll take some time to adopt to playing system which is not easy. I think Tatran are one of the best teams in SEHA League with a big race for fourth position behind them which proves how good they are. Moreover, they’ve also competed in Champions League. We’ve played two away games in a row, did not have enough time to prepare and it will surely be a difficult match. Our players are however always eager to bring their best, we will play to win and we’ll be 100% ready when we step on court on Saturday.

Andreas Nilsson, MVM Veszprem’ player:

We have been travelling a lot this week which is always difficult, but of course we will go to Prešov to win in our last regular season’ game of the season. Prešov have missed to quality for SEHA F4 but they are a very good team, dangerous for everyone. I remember it was hard for us to beat them last week and I expect it to be hard this time as well. We’ll look to collect three points and improve our game which is important for us. We have been waiting for this part of the season for a long time because it is time for biggest games of the season with SEHA F4, Hungarian Cup, Champions League’ knock-out stage and Hungarian championship ahead of us. Our schedule is full but we’re ready for it.
