Макс Струмица со достоен отпор против МВМ Веспрем

Maks Strumica - Veszprem

There was no uncertainty in Strumica, but home team was able to provide better resistance this time losing with "only 14 goals" (37-23) in SEHA Gazprom league' match. Just 24 hours after the derby versus Vardar MVM Veszprem have played enough to win giving many of their important players sime time to rest.

It was expected dominance of MVM Veszprem from the first whistle with 10:3 after only 10 minutes. The important thing was that Maks Strumica continued to fight, and find a way to motivate players and stick to a maximum of minus nine in the first half. It was 6-15 in 18th minute, and it remained ahead of the break with 11-20. In the second part the goal difference did not fall below 10 goals and ranged to highest 21-37 in 56th minute. In last ten minutes of the match fatigue was visible among the team of Strumica with MVM Veszprem scoring from every chance.

Maks Strumica performance was based on three players in the attack - Borce Sokolov, Mirko Majic and Stefan Cizmovic, all with three goals. Goalkeepers have unfortunately fir them had only one save. In MVM Veszprem' team Ugalde and Ivancsik have scored 6 each.Goalkeeper Roland Mikler was excellent with 12 saves.

Vanco Trendafilov, Maks Strumica' coach:

I am satisfied with my players and the game, and during the match the difference was around 10 goals. Now we’re much better than in the first match in Hungary when we've had many injured players presenting our youngsters.

Borce Sokolov, Maks Strumica' player:

We've played as good game as we could. In Hungary goal difference was bigger but now we were better prepared and knew we can play much better which we've proved on court.

Xavier Sabate, MVM Veszprem' coach:

Thanks for Maks Strumica for playing a serious match. Yesterday we've had a tough match against Vardar and it was not easy to play two games in 24 hours. I wish all the best to Strumica in following matches.

Gasper Marguc, MVM Veszprem' player:

Playing two games in a row was certainly hard for the whole team. We've managed to classify and share power, we have a longer bench and it was well deserved win.
