PPD Zagreb against Meshkov with the decision about No.3 in their hands

PPD Zagreb protiv Meshkova ima u rukama odluku o broju 3

PPD Zagreb - Meshkov Brest

Matches between Zagreb and Meshkov are getting more and more interesting every year. Zagreb have managed to catch some victories in Brest and vice versa and now the match between these two opponents ('Matchbox' sports hall, Tuesday, 18.00 CET) will most likely decide about who will travel to Varaždin from third place.

Zagreb and Meshkov have 36 points each with two matches left to play. Zagreb were better in Brest in the first part of the season and they have a chance to decide everything at home. Zagreb would with a victory ensure position three ahead of the last round and their trip to Novi Sad and Meshkov' home clash against Vardar. Interesting is that there is even a chance for the winner of tomorrow' match to catch position two in the end in case Vardar lose at home against Veszprem and against Meshkov in Brest. In case the match ends with a draw or with Meshkov' victory last round will decide everything and in that case goal difference might even play an important role. Really interesting ending which says a lot about League's quality and confirms why it has 4 teams among 14 best in Europe!

Veselin Vujović, PPD Zagreb' coach:

Our wish is to beat Belarus champions for the second time this year and face Vardar in semis in Varaždin. There are no easy opponents on Final Four but we belive it might be easier to play Vardar than Veszprem. Meshkov are an amazing team led by strong arm of experienced Bebeshko...

Stanko Sabljić, PPD Zagreb' player:

Meshkov are a strong team which they are proving in Champions League. They have amazing Rastko Stojković, Ivan Pešić, Ljubo Vukić and complete back line. Our goal is to win and secure position three in SEHA Gazprom League.

Sergei Bebeshko, Meshkov' coach:

It is clear to everyone that it is better to play Zagreb or Vardar in semis than veszprem. I believe the team will soonly refresh from the match against Skjern in Champions League. In this match everything will depend on motive. We're playing against a team which is one of the best in Champions League and which was better than us in Brest. We'll have to show the spirit!

Dzmitry Nikulenkau, Meshkov' player:

We perfectly understand how important this match is. They have managed to beat us in Brest and now it is time for us to take revenge, that's the only way...
