Meshkov looking for points in Subotica to ensure F4 placement

Meškov traži bodove u Subotici za potvrdu F4

Spartak Vojput - Meshkov Brest

After two good matches and, unfortunately for their fans, two defeats against PPD Zagreb and Veszprem Serbian vice-champions Spartak Vojput are waiting for the last match of the season with Meshkov Brest coming to ‘Dudova šuma’ sports hall on Saturday 18.00 CET. That will be the last chance for fans from Subotica to see EHF Champions League’s participant and SEHA finalist ahead of domestic play-off battle.

On the other side, Meshkov will look for a chance to ensure the position on F4 and warm-up for Champions League’s knock-out stage duel against Danish Skjern.

Branislav Zeljković, Spartak Vojput’ coach:

We have really strong rival again. We have in our last two appearances proved that we’re good enough for SEHA with some solid results. Our task will be to keep the level of form and quality in upcoming matches. Atmosphere in the team is good and I’m sure it will influence our performance. Certain problems are present on defensive end of our game but we’ll do everything to fix them and I expect both of goalkeepers to add up to our play. I’m sure it will be a good match for fans and I certainly hope we’ll finish SEHA season with a good encounter. When you play well you forget about fatigue and some injuries which kind of is our situation ahead of duel against Meshkov. Some youngsters will once again get their chance with result being our primary goal but of course we want to give them a chance to show what they can.

Radule Radulović, Spartak Vojput’ goalkeeper:

One of the best teams in SEHA Gazprom League which will play on SEHA F4 is coming to Subotica and only thing I can promise is sky-high motivation. We hope for a good game against such a rival.

Sergey Bebeshko, Meshkov Brest’ coach:
Teams are gradually sharpening their forms ahead of important CL’s clashes. Unfortunately we have some injured players with Tioumentsev and Charapenka being sidelined for the duel in Subotica. We’ve managed to beat Spartak with huge goal difference at home but in last two matches they’ve proved they can play amazing against top teams. And, of course, they will play at home willing to show best performance for sure. The other big reason for us to win this match is that it would ensure us a place on League’s F4 tournament.

Dmitry Kamyshyk, Meshkov Brest’ player:
Rivals have proved to be able to play well against favored opponents in last two matches in SEHA League. That’s why we’re not even considering underestimating Spartak. We have prepared seriously for this match.
