PPD Zagreb and Tatran for top 4

PPD Zagreb i Tatran – odluka za F4

Tatran - Zagreb

Very important match in terms of League's placement after the regular part of the season is ahead of us with Zagreb hosting Tatran on Tuesday (18.00 CET) in 'Matchbox' sports hall. In the first part of the season Tatran were able to take a clear victory in Slovakia and the situation was the same last year with Tatran grabbing two regular season victories. Zagreb have, however, managed to take revenge on Final tournament in Veszprem and we can, considering results say that a tense, narrow clash is waiting for us.

Tatran are entering the encounter with 9-6 score in 15 matches and Zagreb are on 11-3 in 14 duels. In other words, Zagreb' victory would crash all Tatran' hopes to find a place among 4 best teams in SEHA Gazprom League after the regular part of the season. Victory would however keep multiple Slovak champions' hopes alive. Zagreb are experiecing quite roster problems with Stevanović, Ivić, Šebetić and Vujić being sidelined for the match due to illness. Coach Trtik is on the other side leading a young team which will surely shine in the future.

Veselin Vujović, PPD Zagreb' coach:

An extremely important clash is ahead of us with victory securing us a place SEHA Gazprom League's Final tournament. The fact is that we're always experiencing troubles playing against Tatran. Situation we're currently in is tough with both first-team goalies still missing due to illness which means we'll once again lean on youngster Jović between bars, just like against Spartak.

Stipe Mandalinić, PPD Zagreb' player:

Tatran are a serious team despite of certain roster changes they've experienced lately. We have to think about our performance and prove, in front of our fans, that we're a part of SEHA Gazprom League's top!

Rastislav Trtík, Tatran´ coach:

We would like to continue delivering good performances just like in our last few games. We’ve sent several key players on loan to Hungary during the winter break deciding to give chance to our youngsters who are so far using it quite well. The situation in the team is getting better. Rábek, Hrstka and Peskov are slowly getting into a good form after their injuries. I believe we will prove our improvement in Zagreb and contribute to a high quality game with mature team performance.

Lukáš Urban, Tatran´ player:

In Zagreb it will be a very tough game. We will try to reach the best possible result. At home we’ve beaten PPD by 7 goals after our excellent performance. This time it will be a different match with a different roster. We will try to show our best.
